In 2024, The Baltimore Homeless Project Inc., a dedicated Baltimore nonprofit, has been focused on protecting, providing for, and serving the homeless. We've hosted over 10 community initiatives, including our Lunch on Us program and Mobile Meals service, where we provided 1,500 freshly made hot meals, snacks, and drinks to combat food insecurity. Our commitment to homeless assistance also included offering 120 free haircuts, distributing over 500 hygiene kits and manicure kits, and providing essential health resources. Additionally, we handed out over 500 MOHS Shelter Hotline papers and transported 20 homeless individuals to local emergency shelters during code red and purple alerts. Through our donation program, we aim to continue our mission and efforts to make a difference for the homeless in our community.

The Baltimore Homeless Project Inc was founded in December 2019 with a mission to tackle food insecurity and provide homeless assistance in the community. While in college, Wanye' came up with the idea of starting a community project aimed at helping those in need. What began as a small initiative quickly gained traction when he shared his vision with his cousin Terence and best friend Jordan, both of whom were eager to support this Baltimore nonprofit. With their backing, Wanye' developed the project's name, designed its first logo, and organized the inaugural event, laying the groundwork for future success. The primary goal of the project was not to establish a formal nonprofit organization but to create a meaningful impact by assisting others through a donation program.
Our team consists of dedicated and sincere individuals who are deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve, especially within the Baltimore homeless community. From psychology graduates to outreach workers, we collaborate as a Baltimore nonprofit to offer comprehensive support, including our donation program aimed at alleviating food insecurity and providing essential homeless assistance.

Over the past five years, we have partnered with more than 10 community-based organizations, including Baltimore nonprofits, food caterers, colleges and universities, barbers, healthcare providers, local businesses, and local artists. These partnerships are vital to our donation program and help us expand our reach, allowing us to make a greater impact in the community, especially for the Baltimore homeless.
