Lunch On Us is more than just a meal : it’s a movement rooted in compassion, collaboration, and community. Hosted bi-monthly, this signature initiative of the Baltimore Homeless Project brings together local businesses, community partners, schools, nonprofits, and everyday citizens who are committed to making a difference in the lives of our unhoused neighbors.

Each Lunch On Us event is a full-circle experience that goes beyond food. We create safe, welcoming spaces where guests can receive hot meals, free haircuts, shoes, phones, hygiene items, housing referrals, mental health support, employment resources, and more all at no cost.

What makes Lunch On Us so powerful is the unity behind it. From food trucks to barbers, local social workers to college volunteers, every person and organization involved plays a vital role in creating a day of dignity, care, and hope for the people of Baltimore. We’ve hosted over 10 large-scale events and continue to grow fueled by generosity, consistency, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and helped. 

While Lunch On Us brings the community to a central location, BHP Mobile Services goes directly to the streets to the places where help is needed most.

Launched in 2024, this arm of our initiative is all about mobility and reach. Our dedicated team drives through Baltimore’s most underserved areas, stopping at homeless encampments, transit hubs, and high-need neighborhoods to deliver hot meals, hygiene kits, and compassion  right into the hands of those who often get overlooked.

Since starting our mobile services, we’ve already served over 500 individuals ; building trust and consistency in places that don’t often see regular support. This program helps us reach those who may not be able to attend Lunch On Us events, ensuring that our impact stretches beyond one location or one day.

As we look ahead, we’re committed to expanding both our mobile outreach and our community-wide events. Whether on foot or by van, we are here showing up, serving, and standing alongside Baltimore’s most vulnerable.
